Garden State Players is holding auditions for their summer musical season with My Eccentric Life. This theatrical pop cabaret/song cycle hybrid is an intimate journey through the maze of modern relationships with its heart firmly on its sleeve. Each song, snapshot in the lives of the young and the young at heart, is a story of overcoming life’s many curves and bends as told through the breathtaking music of contemporary musical theater's songwriters: Scott Alan, Bobby Cronin, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Kerrigan-Lowdermilk, and Kooman & Dimond. The song selections chosen for this production range from hysterical to tear jerker and explores various aspects of the human condition such as love, commitment, identity, confronting emotions, escaping expectations, and deciphering complicated relationships. 

Auditions:

Please prepare a pop ballad that shows range. 
Accompanist will be provided or you can use a click track. please bring player and have it cued to your part.

6 M/F: Age Range- 15-20 
Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano Belt – Baritone/Tenor Belt
6 M/F: Age Range 20-28 
Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano Belt – Baritone /TenorBelt
8 M/F: Age Range- 28 and up 
Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano Belt / Baritone /Tenor Belt

Rehearsal Process:
Rehearsal will be on Sunday, Tue, & Thursday nights
Actors will be schedule into time slots and work one on one with the director and musical director. Please note actors will not be required to attend all 3 days of rehearsal. 

Performances will be held on Wed and Thurs July 11th & 12th at the Middletown Arts Center.
